COMMUNITY SUPPORT
is a core activity of Kipling Camp. We are located in largely a tribal area which has only basic facilities for the local people. For the past 30 years we have helped support local schools, individuals with specific needs and medical emergencies, and helped fund marriages and funerals. Every winter we supply clothes and blankets to a Baiga tribal village. We have also helped establish a Baiga tribal dance cooperative and support traditional art, which gives extra earnings to extremely low income tribal families. These are now very popular with our guests and other visitors to Kanha.
Needs:
Clothes for children and adults (particularly sweaters for the winter) and supplies for the schools - footballs and inflaters, posters, coloured crayons, colouring books, pencils and sharpeners, rulers, notebooks, and anything that would be useful for a school.
